anyone know of a work around for getting disc games to work on windows ten. i have an actual disc version of racedriver grid and it will not run on ten, id imagine down to the whole drm thing with 10. iv used a few tricks i saw on a few pages for getting it to work on previous o/s but those were of no help. i emailed codemasters and they basically said buy a digital copy. anyone know of a work around i should not have to line the pokets of people twice for something i already own.

run toca race driver 2 and it will automatically detect your monitor and its settings. if you want to set a specific resolution and refresh rate manually, youll have to change this from the game settings. to change the resolution and refresh rate from the game settings, click the options menu. from the drop-down menu select settings. in the settings window, click the display tab and change the resolution and refresh rate as appropriate. from the game settings, you can also set the colour depth and refresh rate of the game. if you want to play the game in widescreen, youll need to install a hacked exe which fixes the graphics and prevents them being stretched out of proportion. you can use an online tutorial to learn how to do this, but for the sake of brevity we will just show you here. in the toca race driver 2 installation folder, create a folder called game, and within that folder a new folder called gameconfig. copy the hacked exe from the mentioned tutorial and paste it into the gameconfig folder. now, the game will prompt you to choose the path where you want to save it. when you save it, youll be prompted for the path of where you want the game to save. copy the hacked exe from the mentioned tutorial and paste it into the folder where you saved toca race driver 2. if your monitor does not have an option for changing the resolution, then you can change it from the game settings.
